FD 2025 on June 28th was a success for TLARC. We set up our Command Post at the Tellico Village Volunteer Fire Station, the same place where we have our monthly meetings and we had three transmitter sites set up, two of which ran 24 hours straight on battery power. We even recharged batteries using solar panels. We had five temporary antennas installed out in the grassy field area.
The following dignitaries visited our station:
- ARRL Section Manager
- Tellico Village POA Board Member
- Loudon County Sherrif Deputy Chief
- Tellico TV Photographer
- Members of the Tellico Village COPS Program
- Members of the Fire Department
We had 16 TLARC Members and 12 Guests in attendance. Of those TLARC members, 9 are also members of ARES.
TLARC’s goal was to have at least 350 QSO’s. The final tally was 653 QSO’s.
There are 85 different ARRL/RAC Sections in the USA and Canada, and we communicated with 73 of them.
I would like to thank all those that participated in our event TLARC event this year. As with every TLARC event, there was plenty of food for all.
