The Hamfest is in the Von Braun Center South Hall<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

The Huntsville Hamfest is right around the corner! The show kicks off on Saturday, August 19th at 9AM at the Von Braun Center South Hall, and runs until 4:30PM that afternoon. The show is open on Sunday from 9AM and closes at 3PM on Sunday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tailgate\/Swap area is entirely inside in the air conditioning!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This is the third largest hamfest in North America, only Dayton and Orlando are larger. Unlike those other venues, this is entirely inside the Von Braun center in the cool air conditioning!<\/p>\n\n\n

The grand prizes this year are a Yaesu FT-710 AESS on Saturday, and an Icom IC-705 on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n

In addition to the events going on at the Von Braun center, many of the Ham Radio YouTuber’s will be holding pre-show and evening events at the nearby Monte Sano State Park, minutes away from the venue.<\/p>\n\n\n
